 Go to Driver Download area

 Download and unzip this file:

 WLAN_ForWinCENET400.zip

 Proceed as follows:

 1.      Or, download the file from our site if the above site is busy - WLAN_ForWinCENET400.zip 

If you feel comfortable with our site you could just download the exe file directly WLAN_ForWinCENET400.exe

2.       Unzip the file - or run the above exe file.

3.       Connect EzPAD and make certain the Active Sync is functioning

4.       Run the exe file that has been unzipped or downloaded to your PC

a.       The drivers will install on the EzPAD via Active Sync

b.   Plug in the Convergent Technology WiFi Card.

Will Not Active Sync
A USB device driver for Win98/2K/XP to setup EZPAD correctly. If you connect EZPAD to PC in the first time, Win98/2K/XP will know a new USB device was plug-in and ask you to specify its correspond driver. This is the driver.

How to configure the GSM GPRS (G1- Chi Mei) for the EzPAD

  1. Active Sync must be functioning and running
  2. Insert SIM card into Compact Flash, GSM/GPRS card / insert CF card into CF-PCMCIA adapter and insert this assembled unit into the PCMCIA slot
  3. Unzip Running Voice CE Net software and execute program - Running Voice GSM.exe
  4. To make a phone call
    1. Open program - Running Voice
    2. Card will initialize - log onto the GSM network - You can now make phone calls using the keypad on the PDA, the GSM/GPRS card and the headset included with the card.

To create and make a Data Connection

 

  1. Start / Settings / Network and Dialup Connections
  2. Double click - Make a New connection
  3. Name it what you like - ie GPRS
  4. From the drop down menu select - Flexport Data
  5. TCP/IP Settings
    1. General - Use Server-Assigned IP address - Should be selected
    2. General - Use Software compression - Should be selected
    3. Name Servers - Use server-assigned address - Should be selected
    4. OK
  6. Security Settings
    1. Unencrypted password (PAP) - Should be selected
    2. Challenge Handshake (CHAP) - Should be selected
    3. MS- CHAP - Should be selected
    4. MS-CHAP v2 - Should be selected
    5. OK
  7. Configure
    1. Port Settings
      1. Baud Rate - 115,200
      2. Data Bits - 8
      3. Parity - None
      4. Stop Bits 1
      5. Flow Control - Hardware
    2. Call Options
      1. Cancel is not connected within 120 seconds - Should be selected
      2. In extra Settings - +CGDCONT=1,,"internet2.voicestream.com"
      3. OK
      4. OK
      5. Next
    3. Enter *99# - In Phone Number field
    4. Finish
    5. Double Click the icon you created - ie GPRS
    6. For T Mobile
      1. User Name = Blank
      2. Password = Blank
      3. Domain = Blank
      4. Save Password - Selected
    7. Tap - Dialing Properties
    8. Tap - Dialing Patterns
      1. For Local calls - G
      2. For Long Distance calls - G
      3. For International calls - G
      4. OK
      5. OK
      6. Tap Connect
    9. You should now connect to the internet
    10. Open Internet Explorer - select your URL of choice
  8. To automate the connection in Internet Explorer
    1. Open IE Explorer
    2. View / Internet Options / Connection
    3. Autodial Name - Select your connection - ie GPRS

Whenever you open Internet Explorer you will automatically connect to the internet.

To return to making a phone call it is necessary to disconnect from the GPRS data connection.
