First..... set the device for the band used by your carrier.... if you are operating in North America, South America, Mexico or most of the Caribbean ..... the bands are 850/1900.

Charge unit fully Insert SIM Card Turn on device...Initialize Open the Phone App Press Green Phone Button Select Menu with Stylus Options Others Select 850/1900 OK BTW.... should you travel to Europe or Asia where the 900/1800 bands are used you will reverse this procedure.
